What does it mean to move forward? Learn to depict life, to add detail. Reality is not simple, yet even when we know this, our memories fail us. What does it mean to create finished works? Is there a certain level of ....skill? Sharpness of the eye? Comparison to another's lines?

Maybe it's none of it--all of it. But what does it matter, let's just create now and think later.

I enjoyed my first year at the artists alley a lot. I didn't print a lot of copies but I had a lot of comissions. Strange ones too. I actually found that I love doing original characters than fanart (mostly because I have a very narrow library of references in my brain). Was more enjoyable doing personal commission requests than something like, Sora x Roxas.

Surprisingly (to me), there were also a lot of, 'draw me and my friends' or, 'draw my gf' type of requests. Those were a little more difficult since I had to trigger the 'what I learned in art uni' part of my brain. But I give thanks to OCAD for making me draw stupid things so that I am now more versatile in situations such as this.

This experience was more or less inspiring. For sure it has gotten me over my artists block (drawing for 20 h? ..lol). I actually feel like there's a place where I can actually draw.

Thank you all those who commissioned me. The pleasure is mine. It makes me just as happy to see my commissioners happy. Thank you again ^^.

It's amazing that it has already been a year since the AN 2008. Seeing that I've joined xanga around the same time last year, this is sorta like an anniversary lool. Sorry to say, I haven't been drawing too much due to sickness. This is the last thing I've done. I'm currently being swamped by essays and pointless little writings. I'll try to take a pic of the booth and some cosplayers this year if possible. Tomorrow's AN...am I excited? ....Mmm...I'm usually not excited for things.
